Table X - Standard names of dosage forms, routes of administration and packaging

In order to unify the terminology, the states that are signatories to the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia process translations of Standard terms for pharmaceutical dosage forms, routes and methods of administration and containers of medicines into national languages. This work is coordinated by the working group of the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM) called Standard Terms and the agreed terms are published on the web site in the following categories:

• the Standard term is approved for use (Current);
• the Standard term replaced by new valid term (Deprecated);
• the Standard term is not approved for use (Rejected);
• the proposed term is being evaluated (Pending).

Table X lists only the terms approved for use, their translations into Czech language are prepared by the working group of the Pharmacopoeia Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.
